Group Drawing: Building Community Through Co-creation
2 pm–4 pm
Join artist José Garza, museum academic programs coordinator, for a group drawing workshop that combines art with community building. This workshop offers a creative and engaging experience that encourages participants to co-create. Participants will experiment with a variety of materials, explore different techniques, and learn from one another. The focus is on the process itself, not perfection, and celebrating the collective effort that brings the artwork to life.
Participants will be guided through a series of drawing activities based on works of sculpture from the Museum’s permanent collection, each designed to foster collaboration, self-expression, and a sense of shared purpose. The workshop welcomes participants of all skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned artist or just starting to explore your artistic side, you will find a place to contribute and grow.
Free and open to the public. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Registration is required.
