CANCELED—Kemper Live: Transformation through Movement
11 am
Kemper Art Museum
With great regret we are canceling this event, in response to the University’s recommendations and guidance from the CDC
on limiting the spread of COVID-19.
Performances and activities inspired by the special exhibition Multiplied: Edition MAT and the Transformable Work of Art, 1959–1965 offer new perspectives on art that was designed to move and be moved.
Experience dance improvisations and soundscapes that encourage audience participation by Consuming Kinetics Dance Company.
Join a dynamic tour led by students in WashU’s Theater and Performance Studies Master’s Program and explore the exhibition through interaction and play.
View the Italian artist Bruno Munari’s Direct Projections (1950), which he created by placing a range of materials in slide frames and projecting them on a grand scale. Then experiment with different materials to create your own compositions that can be projected on the Museum’s wall and carried home in your pocket.
All ages welcome. Food for purchase by Saha Falafel. Sponsored by Women and the Kemper.
