A teenage math whiz unintentionally plunges the virtual world into chaos by solving a numerological riddle that makes the global network vulnerable to attack. The exuberantly colorful online world resembles the superflat designs of pop artist Murakami Takashi, whose work is strongly influenced by contemporary media culture. Directed by Mamoru Hosoda.

This film will be introduced by Diane Wei Lewis, assistant professor, Film and Media Studies in Arts & Sciences.

This film series is cosponsored by the Department of Film and Media Studies in Arts & Sciences.
