Workshop: Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover

February 3, 2014
5-8p

Using In the Aftermath of Trauma: Contemporary Video Installations as a foundation, regional artist Maria Ojascastro invites individuals whose lives have been touched by tragedy to use mixed media and encaustic collage to explore their journey. When trauma is too great to express verbally, art can often be an appropriate means for healing and strength. Participants will manipulate preprinted images and text to transform a book into a vehicle for personal expression. Both beginners and advanced learners are welcome to join this opportunity for creativity in a safe and relaxing atmosphere.

Free for members of the Kemper Art Museum and COCA/Interchange Teachers; $10.00 for all others. To register, please contact Allison Taylor, manager of education at the Kemper Art Museum, at 314-935-7918 or allison.taylor@wustl.edu.
