Women and the Kemper was founded jointly in 2009 by the Women's Society of Washington University, the Woman's Club of Washington University, and the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Woman's Club. Now a part of the Woman's Club as an Educational Programming Group, Women and the Kemper continues to support the mission of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum and its cultural and educational usefulness to the University and community, and to encourage women's participation in all aspects of the art world.
