Space Details

Saligman Family Atrium
The Atrium is available for evening reception rentals. Guest access to view exhibitions on display is included in rental fees, contingent on appropriate security coverage, but the exhibition schedule varies and cannot be modified for events. There are no catering or kitchen facilities at the Museum, and it cannot accommodate large seated dinners or luncheons/midday events. For smaller groups wishing to have lunch at the Museum please see the information about the Lehmann Museum Classroom (below).

The Florence Steinberg Weil Sculpture Plaza may be used as additional reception space in conjunction with the Saligman Family Atrium, weather permitting. It is not currently available for stand-alone rentals.

Capacity: the space is ideal for an intimate reception of 30-90 people, but can hold up to 200 guests.

Availability: evenings from 6-11 pm (including setup)

Please note: the Kemper Art Museum is open to the public Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11-6, and Fridays from 11-8. The Museum is closed on Tuesdays. If you choose to hold your event in the Atrium during open hours, it will be open to the public.


Lehmann Museum Classroom (Room 104)
The Museum Classroom is available for separate rentals for meetings or presentations. The space has a projector which can accommodate presentations from a laptop, DVD, or VHS. Please note that cleaning must be arranged in advance for any classroom meeting or event involving food.

Groups may also reserve the classroom as a space for a private lunch with groups of under 30. Box lunches are available from Bon Appetit, Hollyberry Baking Company, and One World Neighborhood Cafe. For beverages, only bottled water may be served.
