Women and the Kemper: Fashion of the Belle Époque

March 3, 2017

This spring Sam Fox School Fashion Design students will create original garments inspired by the exhibition Spectacle and Leisure in Paris: Degas to Mucha. At this special reception with the students, participants will have the chance to view their sketchbooks and inspiration boards as well as offer feedback. Live models will be wearing some of the students’ designs, and optional tours of the exhibition and the Fashion Design studios will be offered.

A collaborative program of the Sam Fox School Fashion Design Program, Women and the Kemper, the Woman’s Club, and Women’s Society of Washington University. Women and the Kemper members are invited to bring a friend.
